How to test your upgrade campaign

Senest redigeret:

When you have created your Upgrade workflow (upgrade/change of agreement) and linked it to a campaign, it is time to test the flow. We recommend that you always run a final test together with your agency before going live. Each dialler system behaves slightly differently, so it is a good idea to ensure the end result is as intended.

If you wish to check the workflow/form itself, you will need a subscriptionGuid (agreement ID) to test on. This means you must find an existing agreement to test with, as the flow is designed to update existing agreements, not create new ones.

How to find an subscription ID

To find an ID to test with, go to Transactional > Subscriptions in the menu. As long as you are only using the ID to view the flow and not to change anything, you can use any subscriptionGuid. However, the safest option is to use your own or a colleague’s – or preferably a dedicated test agreement, for example £0.10/month (or 1 kr/month), which you can use for tests like this.

If you already have a test agreement, search for it now. Otherwise, simply click on one of the agreements shown in the list.

You can then copy the agreement’s ID – the subscriptionGuid – from your browser’s URL:

How to review the flow – as a regular user

Next, find your Onboarding campaign again. Here you will find the link to the campaign – click on Review campaign in new tab.

You will now see this message:

If you do not have a user account for Onboarding.onlinefundraising.dk, testing is not entirely straightforward – but it is possible. You simply need to add a little extra to the page’s URL. If the URL contains the following:

…you can, after the last ID (which is the campaign’s), add the following:

&subscriptionGuid=your-agreement-ID

…then press Enter. The campaign will now display with the data from the selected agreement.
