Introduction to custom fields

Senest redigeret:

OnlineFundraising includes a range of standard fields that are predefined. If you need fields beyond the standard ones, you can easily create them yourself. In our support guides, we refer to these as tailored fields – custom fields.

In the Custom fields module, you can get an overview of all custom fields in use across OnlineFundraising. The overview includes:

State Whether the field is active or inactive.
Key Reference. The field name as it appears in the API and user interface.
Label The display name shown to the donor.
Values Selectable options, for example: “Personal, Senior, Family”.
Description A description of how the field is used.
Created Date and time when the field was created.

You’ll find Custom fields under the Data sets menu. From here, you can create new fields and edit existing ones.

Note: At the time of writing, Custom fields cannot yet be selected directly in modules such as Forms and Communications — but this will be available in upcoming releases.
