How do I change the text on the donor’s phone bill?

When you receive SMS payments, the donor’s phone bill must clearly show what the payment relates to. It is therefore important to set the text that will appear on the phone bill when someone donates to your campaign. This guide explains how to do it.

 

1. Find the relevant SMS campaign

The first step is to find the SMS campaign for which you want to change the phone bill text.

  1. In the OnlineFundraising main menu, select SMS Inbound.

  2. Click Campaigns in the menu at the top of the page.

  3. Find the campaign you want to change the text for in the list, and click on it.

 

2. Navigate to the campaign’s payment settings

When you click on the campaign in the list, a window will open where you can edit the campaign.

Click Payment or Subscription to go to the campaign’s payment settings, depending on whether it is a single payment or a subscription.

 

3. Enter the new text

Scroll down to the Invoice text field, which you will find on the right-hand side of the window under Transactional settings.

Here, enter the text that should appear on your donors’ phone bills when they support the specific SMS campaign.

 

Remember to save your changes

Once your new text is in place, make sure to click Update to save your changes.
