If a contact wishes to be anonymised, it is important that the information is effectively deleted so that it is not possible to restore the data. This guide explains how to delete a contact's personal information from OnlineFundraising.
1. Locate the Contact
The first step is to find the donor or member who wishes to be anonymised. You need to know either the contact’s phone number or email address.
Select Transactional and then Contacts in OnlineFundraising's main menu.
Then, search for the contact using their phone number, email, CPR number, CVR number, or external ID (e.g., a reference in your CRM) in the search field. This will display any contact(s) registered in OnlineFundraising with the entered data.
3. Click on Anonymise
You are now ready to anonymise the contact. This can be done at the top of the window by clicking the Anonymise button.
The contact is now anonymised, and no notification will be sent via SMS or email, as the donor’s/member’s data no longer exists. The status will change to Anonymised, as shown below.
