Payment Receiver

Receive Data from MobilePay Number (incl. Full Phone Number)

Senest redigeret:

With the Payment Receiver module, you can automatically pull donation data from your MobilePay number straight into OnlineFundraising.
If your OnlineFundraising account is linked to your CRM, the data will then flow straight in there too — so you can keep track of everything in one place.

If you want to get the donor’s full phone number from MobilePay, there are a couple of extra steps.
First up, you’ll need the MobilePay product called Recurring Donations – not to be confused with “Recurring Payments” (formerly called Subscriptions). Only Recurring Donations gives you full access to the data through their API.

If you’re not sure whether you have the right one, check with us. From our end, it’ll look fine either way — but if you’ve picked the wrong product, you simply won’t get the full phone number. So, best to ask before you set it up.

Heads-up: Right now, the product MobilePay are making some changes to the product Recurring Donations. Therefore, you can't select the product in the MobilePay interface. If you'd like to create the integration when it's possible, feel free to create a support ticket and we'll let you know once it's available again.

How Much Data Do You Need?

MobilePay offers two different data sets:

  1. Basic set: Each payment + four out of the eight phone number digits.
Ideal if you just want an overview of incoming payments.

  2. Full set: Each payment + the donor’s full phone number and name.
Costs a little extra (from MobilePay) but lets you contact donors afterwards.

With OnlineFundraising, you can mix and match — choosing the full set only when it makes sense. You decide for each number how much data you want. By default, you’ll only get four digits and the donation amount.

If you want the full number, follow this guide. If four digits is enough, go for the cheaper option and use the other guide >

Note: Most of the steps below are only needed the first time. When adding new MobilePay numbers later, follow this much shorter guide instead >

1. Log in to the MobilePay portal

First, sign in to your organisation’s MobilePay account.

2. Set up the Recurring Donations product

As mentioned, you need Recurring Donations. You don’t actually have to use it day-to-day — but it has to be set up, otherwise we can’t get the full number.

The names are confusing: even if you already have recurring payments with MobilePay, you probably don’t have Recurring Donations (launched spring 2025). You likely have Recurring Payments.

Recurring Donations sits in the In-Person Payments category, as the donor initiates the payment. Most organisations still use Recurring Payments in the Online Payments category.

To check if you already have Recurring Donations, look under In-Person Payments for a product with the repeat icon (yellow square):

If you don’t have it, you’ll need to add it:

  • Go to Order Solutions in the menu.

  • Choose In-Person Payment

  • Pick Recurring Donations

  • Fill in the details and wait for MobilePay’s approval.

  • Give it a name you’ll remember — you’ll need it later.

3. Give OnlineFundraising partner access

You now need to give us access to your reports.

This must be done for each number you want data from. When you first set it up, you can give access to all your numbers in one go. But if you add new ones later, remember to repeat this step.

  • In MobilePay, go to ReportsAccounting PartnersEdit Partner Access.

  • Search for OnlineFundraising and add it:

  • You can add several numbers at once:

4. Adjust report settings for your MobilePay number

  • Find the number in the left menu.

  • Go to donation report settings:

  • Tick Yes.

Pricing depends on whether you’re an ISOBRO member. Please note that this fee is charged by MobilePay/Vipps, not OnlineFundraising.

5. Add the MobilePay number to OnlineFundraising

Once partner access has been granted in MobilePay, it’s time to connect everything in OnlineFundraising.

  • In OnlineFundraising, go to Payment Receiver (1)Credentials (2) → Add New (3).

  • Give it a clear name (e.g. “MobilePay Number”) and click Authenticate Credential.

It can take a couple of minutes for the connection to confirm — perfect time for a tea break.

6. Link Recurring Donations with OnlineFundraising

Now we connect the dots. You’ll need two browser tabs: one for MobilePay, one for OnlineFundraising.

  • In MobilePay, go to For Developers → Find your newly created Recurring Donations product → Show Keys

  • Copy the client_id, client_secret, and Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key (Primary) one by one

  • In OnlineFundraising, open the credential you just made, paste the keys into the right fields, and click Update.

Give yourself a high-five — you’ve just done the hard bit.

7. Add all MobilePay numbers as processors

  • In OnlineFundraising, go to the Processor tab.

  • Add each MobilePay number you want data from (one processor per number). Find the full guide here >

  • Make sure you pick the credential that contains the Donation API if you want the full phone number.
